Tottenham got the better of Leyton Orient on Friday while a youthful-looking Everton lost at Oxford.
Peter Crouch helped himself to a couple of goals as Tottenham beat Leyton Orient 4-1 at the Matchroom Stadium.
Spurs' latest pre-season friendly saw mabager Harry Redknapp field a strong line-up that featured Crouch, Nico Kranjcar, Steven Pienaar and Robbie Keane.
The visitors took the lead on 22 minutes when Crouch headed in David Bentley's cross and the England striker grabbed a second 12 minutes later, turning the O's defence before firing in a low shot.
Orient pulled a goal back just before the break, Jamie Cureton teeing up Stephen Dawson to hammer a shot past Carlo Cudicini.
Spurs got a third five minutes after the restart, the unfortunate Scott Cuthbert putting through his own goal under pressure from Crouch.
And Kranjcar wrapped up the scoring 20 minutes from time blasting home from just inside the box after good work from Bentley.
A youthful-looking Everton slide lost 1-0 to Oxford United on Friday evening as James Constable's goal settled the contest.
It was United final home pre-season friendly this summer and while Everton had chances to score, Oxford's defence held out.
