Top seed Vera Zvonareva cruised to a comfortable straight-sets win over Ukraine's Mariya Koryttseva in the Baku Cup semi-finals.
Russian Zvonareva, the world number three, showed her class by recording a straightforward 6-1 6-2 win over Koryttseva.
The 26-year-old will meet compatriot Ksenia Pervak in Sunday's final after the seventh seed ended the run of Kazakhstan's Galina Voskoboeva.
Ranked 162nd in the world, Voskoboeva was the tournament's surprise package but despite a strong start was beaten 1-6 6-0 6-2 by Pervak.
