Great Britain will be up against Australia, Sweden and Russia for the final two places in the World Cup Final and it should be a thrilling affair.

I must admit to be very impressed that Russia made it to the race-off with just four riders. That is just staggering. They were without the likes of Emil Sayfutdinov, or the Laguta brothers due to some mix-up with visas and it will be interesting to see how they come back in Gorzow.

On Monday night we saw defending champions Poland join Denmark in Saturday's final in Gorzow in a meet that was full of argy bargy.

Tempers definitely flared but I think it was more a case of handbags at dawn between the Czech riders and Great Britain riders. Tai Woffinden was excluded twice which certainly did not help Great Britain however that should all be forgotten come Thursday.

What is more significant heading into the race-offs is that Great Britain are without Scott Nicholls. That is going to be a big blow as they now have a very inexperienced team and it is going to be a very tall order.

What is more significant heading into the race-offs is that Great Britain are without Scott Nicholls. That is going to be a big blow as they now have a very inexperienced team and it is going to be a very tall order. Sweden and Australia have got very experienced teams and are full of world class riders.

Lewis Bridger comes in for Nicholls and it will be interesting to see if he can walk the talk. There is no doubt that he has bags of talent but he does not always deliver. He has got his opportunity to show that his actions speak louder than his words.

He has been pretty vocal about some of his Great Britain team mates but he really needs to forget all that and step up to the plate.

The track is a classic European track - it is not the best one in Poland but it is not a bad one. The conditions will be very different to what the Great Britain riders encounter but saying that they all have experience riding in Poland and that should not be an excuse. There will be nothing they would not have seen before.

Sweden and Australian go into this meet on a level pegging. I would say after the performances last Saturday I think Australia did have a chance to go through, but they did not take it.
