An unbeaten century from Adam Voges and four wickets for Samit Patel helped Nottinghamshire record an important 21-run Clydesdale Bank 40 win over Group C rival Glamorgan.
Australian Voges scored 103 from 76 balls - with his second 50 coming off only 28 balls - to help the Outlaws amass 281-6 from their 40 overs.
Their innings had been given an excellent start by openers Alex Hales, who made 52, and Rikki Wessels (37) who put on 82 in the first 10 overs.
Hales was charging along until his innings was ended in unfortunate circumstances, the batsman being run out at the non-striker's end off Michael O'Shea's fingertips.
Wessels holed out two overs later but Patel (39) and Voges, who hit nine fours and three sixes during his sublime knock, proceeded to put on 74. |
