Celtic have confirmed Fraser Forster has returned to the club on a season-long loan deal with the view to a permanent switch.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a standout campaign north of the border last year, where he made 44 appearances for the Hoops and helped them win the Scottish Cup.
With Tim Krul and Steve Harper blocking his route to the Newcastle number one jersey, the rookie 'keeper has opted for first-team action at Celtic Park.
"I felt we'd always get a keeper. Fraser was the one who was top of the list but there were other options that we could have gone for but we're thrilled that he's here now."
